考えていること
社会の環境が刻々と変化し続ける現在において、普遍的で美しいデザインが求められていると強く感じます。デザインとデザインオフィスの関係は、手紙と郵便局の関係に似ています。人に感動を届ける手紙という具体的なデザインと、それを目に見えない形で確実に提供するインフラとしての郵便局の関係です。私たちはこうした具体化された価値を生み出すインフラとしてのデザインオフィスを目指し、東京に開局しました。
このデザインオフィスは、建築という具体的に残っていく建物を作るデザインに、重心を置いていることが特徴です。建築は、身体と近い距離にあり、長いスパンで残りゆくものです。建築は、単なるデザインとは異なり、より人間が生きることに接近しゆく本質的な思考が求められます。だからこそ、多くの責任と自由があります。そこで、建築/ARCHITECTREということに立ち戻り、そこからデザインをはじめてゆくことで新しい価値を生み出してゆきたいと考えます。
あらゆるものが短い時間で消費されていく時代だからこそ、時代が変化しても変わらないものを探求する態度が求められいます。玉ねぎの皮をめくるように、社会を覆う上皮を一枚一枚取り除いてゆくと何が残るのか。何があるかは分からないけれども、それを探す態度こそが建築の本質です。こうした態度をしてはじめて、単なる問題解決型の紋切り型のデザインではなく、本当に大切なものを探すことができるのではないでしょうか。
AFTER POST OFFICE.は建築を中心として、都市、ランドスケープ、インテリア、家具、プロダクトといったモノのデザインから、コミュニティ、パフォーミングアート、ブランディングといったコトのデザインまで、デザインに関わる一切の業務を承っています。建築からはじまり、様々なスケールのデザインを横断して、人々の生活をより豊かにする普遍的な価値を提案いたします。もし可能性をお感じいただけたら、手紙を出すように気軽に連絡して見てください。

What we are thinking
Now that the social environment is constantly changing, universal and beautiful designs are required. The relationship between "design" and "design office" is similar to the relationship between "letter" and "post office". Letters impress people and enrich our lives, and the post office serves as the infrastructure for delivering letters. We have set up a design office in Tokyo as an infrastructure to deliver designs, just like delivering letters.
The uniqueness of our design office is to think based on architecture. Architecture is close to the body and remains a long span. Architecture is different from design that simply makes things, and requires essential thinking that is close to human life. Therefore, there is a lot of responsibility and freedom. Therefore, I would like to create new value based on "ARCHITECTURE".
Everything is consumed in a short amount of time, so you need to look for something that doesn't change with the times. What happens if you remove the epithelium that covers society one by one, like peeling an onion? I don't know what's left at the end, but it's important to pursue the essence. Only with this attitude can you find something really important, not just a design that solves the problem. By thinking based on "ARCHITECTURE", we never forget this attitude.
AFTER POST OFFICE. is based on architecture and receives all design-related work, from designing cities, landscapes, interiors, furniture, products, to designing communities, performing arts, branding, and more. we propose universal value that enriches people's lives through designs of various scales. Concept
コンセプトは丸い境界です。心臓でもある丸い境界は、穴の役割を果たします。穴からは何かが入り、何かが出て行きます。郵便局のポストのようなものがイメージしやすいでしょう。穴からは愛が生まれることがありますし、愛が膨らむこともあります。
The concept is a round boundary. The round boundary, which is also the heart, has the function of a hole. Something goes in through the hole and something goes out through the hole. It's easy to imagine something like a postbox. Love is born and inflated through the holes.

"Archive Walker" is a place to inflate ideas born from text. There are two activities here, "Record walking" and "Walking record". Based on the homepage, we collect and culture the world and create a variant of the world.
アーキテクチャー・ミュージアムは「建築が美術品ならば、都市は美術館だ。作品解説はここにある。さあ、都市に飛び出そう」をコンセプトに掲げた建築の解説です。建築を美術品として、都市を美術館としてとらえなおします。
